More "new beginnings" than I care to count.

I've had this blog for a while but haven't gotten around to posting anything. Like a new blank notebook (I am addicted to Moleskines) it's pregnant with possibility and actually writing something quickly limits the scope of what that notebook can be. This is mostly good and only philosophically bad. After a few written pages the notebook begins to take shape, take on form and content, like one Moleskine I have. I carried it with me everywhere for the better part of a year, filling it with my own attempts at poetry and then forcing friends to write or draw in it too and my friends (who are all great) were really responsive. It's a great little book, a collaborative art piece that is only for me to enjoy. Narcissistic and completely fun.

So for me, when I get a new notebook the first few days, the first few entries are crucial. Each notebook evolves differently from the previous one but the tone set in the beginning rarely changes which brings us to this currently blank blog.

I have decided to get serious with writing -like for real this time. No, like for real- and use this blog to host said writings. Short stories and hopefully episodic serials and maybe some poetry (if it's not too sappy). Most of this will be an exercise and comments, criticisms, tell-offs, and adoration will all be accepted in equal measure, and much like that Moleskine full of friend's thoughts and drawings I need some class participation.

So, with the tone of this blog in mind I present the first of many hopefully interesting reads:
